 Since 1995 Neurowave Monitoring has been providing NIOM procedures for hospitals and surgical centers of all sizes in Orange and Los Angeles Counties, and we've now expanded to the San Francisco Bay Area. All our technologists are either American board registered or board eligible in surgical monitoring (CNIM), Evoked Potentials or EEG. We use Cadwell Cascade instruments, which are continually updated with the latest NIOM software. To assist hospitals and surgical centers in complying with JCAHO standards, we adhere to hospital HIPAA policies and participate in quality assurance programs. Paul received his AA degree and completed the neurodiagnostic program at Orange Coast College. He has over 25 years of experience in the neurodiagnostic field. His career began with clinical studies in both pediatric and adult patients. Since 1995 his focus has been in Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring. He has worked with neuro, orthopedic and vascular surgeons providing EEG, SSEP, EMG, TCeMEP and Cranial Nerve Monitoring for complicated and challenging cases. Technologists: Rick Hitchens, R. EEG/EP T., CNIM Rick received his AA degree and completed the Neurodiagnostic program at Orange Coast College in 1981. For 20 years he worked at two of the largest hospitals in Orange County performing a variety of END procedures on both pediatric and adult patients. For the last ten years he has focused on IOM and has worked with neuro, orthopedic, ENT and vascular surgeons providing EEG, SSEP, EMG, TcE MEP and cranial nerve monitoring. Servel Cannon, R. EEGT., CNIM Servel has been in the neurodiagnostic field for over 20 years. He began his career as an EEG/EP technologist at a large acute care county hospital in the neurodiagnostic department. He then trained and transitioned to IOM for the last 10 years. His IOM experience includes EEG, SSEP, EMG and TCeMEP for vascular and spinal surgeries. Lisa Guttman, B.S., CNIM Lisa has a B.S. degree in Health Science and began her career as an EEG technologist at a large acute care hospital in the neurodiagnostic department. She then was trained in IOM and achieved the necessary hours for eligibility for the CNIM exam. Her IOM experience over the last five years includes EEG, SSEP and EMG monitoring for vascular and spinal surgeries. Barry Brisco, B.Sc., R. EEG T. Barry received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Irvine in 1977. He completed the Neurodiagnostic program at Orange Coast College in 1981, becoming a Registered EEG Technologist in 1982. While at St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange, California, he performed the full range of clinical EEG and EP procedures, including developing intraoperative monitoring procedures when the field was in its infancy. After serving as supervisor of the St. Joseph's Hospital Neurodiagnostic Laboratory, he continued his career with positions in the biomedical equipment industry. At Quantified Signal Imaging in Toronto, Canada, he was the Product Development Manager for Quantitative EEG. He continued his career as Digital EEG Product Manager for Nicolet Biomedical in Madison, Wisconsin, and later served as their Pacific Asia Sales Manager based in Singapore. He has now returned to the growing field of Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring with Neurowave. Kathy David, B.A., R. EEG/EP T., CNIM Kathy received her B.A. from California State University of Long Beach in Physical Education with a California teaching credential. A graduate of Orange Coast College Neurodiagnostics program, she has 25 years experience in neourodiagnostics beginning at Long Beach Memorial (for 18 years) where she gained extensive experience in adult and pediatric EEG, EP, NCS, LTM and IOM. More recently, for five years she was the principal IOM tech at University of California at Irvine Medical Center, where she also performed SEP, MEP, EMG, Cranial nerve monitoring and deep brain stimulation.
